Ethel Bernice Goering, 92, passed away February 19, 2019 at Pleasant View Home, in Inman, Kansas. She was born April 11, 1926 in Calico Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Homer and Betty Scott. She was a dedicated homemaker.

A member of First Christian Church of Hutchinson, she also was a 47 year member of the Carey Park Women’s Golf Association. She was a phenomenal cook – her family thought her fried chicken was second to none, and she was a master at baking, especially homemade pies, bread and cinnamon rolls. In 1947 she married Richard Goering in Hutchinson, Kansas.

He preceded her in death in 1986 after 39 years of marriage. Survivors include 1 son, Jerry D. Goering; 2 grandsons, Stephen L. Goering and Jonathan D. (J.D.) Goering; 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Stephen, 2 brothers, Carl and Conklin.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas.
