Ethel Sue Mode Richard, 95, of Cornelius, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at her home. Born December 27, 1922 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Lem Mode and Lottie Queen Mode. She was retired from Lance Packing Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Richard and a son, Johnny Richard. Survivors include two sons, Bruce Richard of Rockwell and Gary Richard of Cornelius; two daughters, Linda Foley of Cornelius… Read More » and Christine Richard of Cornelius; brother, Donald Mode of Morganton; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be 11:30 AM, Saturday at Casar United Methodist Church Cemetery with Charlotte Nodine and Wanda Cook officiating.
