Yanceyville, NC – It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Ethelene Simpson Brown Oliver Graves 1086 Main St. who passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 in the Brian Center Nursing Facility in Yanceyville, NC. She was a native of Caswell County, NC the daughter of the late Eugene Simpson and Janie Bertha Murphy Simpson, born February 2, 1942. She joined Mineral Springs Baptist Church at an early age and she was a homemaker.

She was married to Alvis Brown Sr., Garfield Oliver, and Samuel Graves all preceded her in death. she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Brown; one brother, Monroe Simpson; four sisters, May Nannie Daye, Rosa Leftwich, Ruth Algood and Cora Henderson. Her survivors are two sons, Alvis Brown Jr. of Blanch, NC and Jerry Brown of Brooklyn, New York; three daughters, Florine Brown of Yanceyville, NC, Lisa Faye Brown of Blanch, NC and Patricia Brown of Mebane, NC; one grandchild; one great grand child; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
