Obituary of Ethel King Ethel Lorraine “Rainey” Krug Forslin King, 93, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the St. John’s Home in Rochester, NY. Lorraine was born in Elmira, NY to Karl and Julia Valois Krug on December 7, 1925. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Her smile was contagious and she was adored by all who knew her. Lorraine truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; collecting antiques, reading and spending time with her family and friends. Lorraine is now reunited with her parents, Karl and Julia; husband, Ivan Peter Forslin; second husband, Gordon King; companion, Gordon Copeland; brother, Karl Krug, Jr; daughter, Barbara Joy Forslin Angarano; and son, Robert Karl Forslin, who have all passed before her.

Lorraine will forever be remembered by her son, Gary Forslin and daughter-in-law, Joanne of Jonesborough, TN; daughter, Sue Ellen Forslin Geckler and son-in-law, Jorge of Fairport, NY; grandchildren Elizabeth Forslin Golden (Marty), Jeff Forslin, Marc Angarano, Todd Angarano (Liz), Karla Angarano Richardson (George), Lauren Geckler Mendicino (Frank), Ryan Geckler (Megan), Erik Geckler (Kelly) and Corey Geckler (Jenn) as well as many great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed but the legacy of her kind spirit, sense of humor and love of life will continue to live on through them. The family would also like to express sincere appreciation to the staff at the St. John’s Home, who cared so lovingly for Lorraine over the past year.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Jennings Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Road, Penfield, NY from 1:30-2:30pm, followed by service at 2:30pm. Burial will follow at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: St. John’s Foundation, 150 Highland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.
