Etta Memmott Schult Armitstead, age 85, of Roosevelt, passed away June 20, 2018. Etta was born April 2, 1933 in Mesa, Arizona to William Duff and Mary Etta Memmott Schult. She married Rowley Blaine Armitstead on June 28, 1952 in the St. George LDS Temple, he died October 18, 2017.

Etta was an ordinance worker in the Vernal LDS Temple for several years. She and Blaine served a mission in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Before moving to the Uintah Basin they lived in Dinuba, California and farmed grapes for raisins.

Etta had a wonderful talent working with her hands, making crafts, sewing and made numerous hand made award winning quilts. She delighted in her family and especially enjoyed the great grandchildren spending time at her home. She is survived by her children, Julie (Mark) Hansen, Tetonia, Idaho; David (Tammy) Armitstead, Perry, Utah; Karen (Paul) Percival, Roosevelt; 16 grandchildren with 4 step-grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren a sister, Nancy Nilsson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Blaine, her daughter, Donna, siblings, William Schult, Imogene Hartman, Ruth Wachtler, and Hazel Fares. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
