Eugene Edwin Young, 91, of Okeechobee, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Ft. Pierce, FL. Gene was born in Rockford, IL to the late Earl and Stella Young.

He proudly served his country by joining the Navy at the age of 15 during WWII. He was employed for 30 years at Gunite. One of his greatest enjoyments was spending time with family and friends while fishing and cruising.

In his later years he developed a love for shuffle board. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Nineta Ann Cascio Young, as well as his brother, Richard Young and sister, Donna Kelroy and son-in law, Carl Findley. He leaves to cherish his memory, his companion and caregiver, Suzanne Young; daughters, Joy Findley and Linda (Bruce) Barriault; sons, Earl Edwin Young and Michael (Sandra) Young; sister, Arlene (Laverne) Hintzmann; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
