Obituary for Ms. Eva Josephine Dillingham Abernathy Eva Josephine Dillingham Abernathy, 87, of 402 B. W. N. 2nd Street, Seneca, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018, at AnMed Health. A native of Presley, GA, Ms. Abernathy was the daughter of the late W.R. and Nancy Noblet Dillingham. She retired from the Walhalla Steak House.

Ms. Abernathy was a true joy to be around, had a loving and caring heart and was beautiful not only on the inside, but on the outside as well. Ms. Abernathy is survived by her daughters: Judy Chappell of Anderson, SC and Norma Barker of Asheville, NC; brother: Reese Dillingham of Atlanta, GA; sister: Marie Coon of California; and six grandchildren: Jerry Broome, Jr. (Susan), Jessie Broome, Melissa Bryant (Richard), Charles Barker, Angie Barker and Walter Barker; nine great-grandchildren and thirty great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Abernathy was preceded in death by her son: Stanley Dillingham; daughter: Martha Broome; and brother: Ray Dillingham.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Department, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family is at the home.
