Obituary for Mrs. Evangelina Navarro Colon Evangelina Navarro Colon, age 78, of Houston, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her husband and loved ones. Evangelina was born July 11, 1940 in Campbellton, Texas and was a resident of Houston, Texas for 47 years. She retired as a Draft Engineer and Supervisor at Southwestern Bell and later retired from St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church.
She was a devout Catholic and loved serving in the Baptismal Ministry. Evangelina was preceded in death by her parents, Frederico Porfideo Navarro, Jr. and Zulema Mitchell Navarro LaRoque; brothers, Rodolfo Navarro and Fred Navarro II. Evangelina is survived by her husband, Jose Raul Colon; son, Alejandro Colom and wife Lolita; daughters, Debra Ann Fuller and husband Timothy, and Zulina Martinez and husband David; brother, Ramon Navarro, Sr. and wife Modesta; 7 grandchildren, Thomas, Angelica, Lizette, Liza, Mozes, Zavier, and Izela and 3 great-grandchildren along with numerous other relatives and friends that she loved dearly.
A viewing will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a rosary vigil at 7:00pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home. The church service will be held on December 11, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery, attendees are to arrive in Lane 1.
