Obituary for Evelyn J. Josefiak Evelyn J. (Piela) Josefiak, 85, a lifelong Chicopee resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2018, at the The Atrium of Agawam, with her loving family at her side. Born December 2, 1933, daughter of the late Walter and Jennie (Wisniowski) Piela, she was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr. Evelyn was a Pro Merito graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1951, and worked as a fashion stylist for Dutchmaid Clothing, Inc. for twenty-four years until her retirement in 1988.

Along with her family, Evelyn owned and operated Monson Bowling Lanes since 1976, and Roll-A-Way Lanes in Ware since 1986. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Misquamicut Beach, and loved the color PURPLE. Evelyn was predeceased in 2007 by her beloved husband, Ronald J. “Windy” Josefiak, and is survived by her loving children, Thomas W. Josefiak of Springfield, Alan S. Josefiak and wife Deborah of Chicopee, and Daniel J. Josefiak and Tammie Griffin of Chicopee; cherished Baci to her six grandchildren, Raemarie Walker and husband Neil, Cati Josefiak, Jennie and Alan Josefiak, and Bryan and Kylie Josefiak; brother, Walter S. Piela and wife Gloria of Chicopee; cousins, Raymond Podgorski and wife Marilyn, Barbara Radwanski, Linda Masek and husband Neil, Billy Wajda, and Robert DeFranzo and wife Michelle; and several special nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her cousin Mitchell Wajda and wife Justine. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held Wednesday at 9AM from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Stanislaus School Endowment Fund, 534 Front St., Chicopee, MA 01013. Upcoming Events Visitation , DEC 11.
