Evelyn Roberts Ritter, age 89, passed away on May 23, 2018 in Miramar Beach, Florida. She was born December 1, 1928, in Nashville, Tennessee to Luther Mitchell and Sadie (Green) Roberts. Evelyn was a graduate of East Nashville High School.

She married Era (Tex) Winfred Ritter on May 14, 1954. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long-time resident of Niceville and Destin, Florida where she and her husband Tex retired in 1985.

Evelyn loved to travel, spend time with her family and was a volunteer for many years at Niceville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Isabelle Green, Luther Roberts, Jr. and Ronnie Roberts and granddaughter, Katherine Ritter. She is survived by her sons Rick (Alice) and Randy (Cindy) Ritter and grandchildren Kevin, Brian, Justin and Stephen Ritter.

A graveside service will be held at Heritage Gardens Cemetery, 2201 N. Partin Drive, Niceville, FL at 10:00 a.m. on July 13, 2018. The service will be officiated by Dr. Herstel Carter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crosspoint United Methodist Church in Niceville, Florida.
