OBITUARY Evelyn Toste December 23, 1932 – December 5, 2018 Evelyn Toste, age 85, of Hughson, California passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was born December 23, 1932 in Pinole, California to Mary Santos and John Lewis. Evelyn is survived by: son John Louis Toste (Susan) of Modesto; daughter Annemarie Espinola (George) of Hughson; daughter Karen L. Travão (Michael) of Hughson; sister Lucille Stevens of Placerville.

Mrs. Toste also leaves seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild to honor her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband Louie Toste Jr., her sister Annie Mendes, great-grandson Cody Travão, and her parents Mary Santos and John Lewis. Evelyn was a dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hughson, California as well as a charter member of Y.C.I., a past president of Modesto Portuguese Pentecost Association, a member of the Portuguese Fraternal Society of America (P.F.S.A.

), and a director of Turlock Pentecost Association. A rosary service will be offered for Evelyn Toste at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. There will be a funeral service at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church: 7820 Fox Road, Hughson, California.

She will be laid to rest following the service at Lakewood Memorial Park: 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, California. Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Meems, Jason Espinola, Joe Dickens, Chad Langley, Michael Travão, Joey King, Jason Espinola, Matthew Espinola and Kyle Dickens. Services for Evelyn Toste are under the care of Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD504) in Turlock, California.
