Fannie Lorene Miles, 88, entered into eternal rest on March 10th, 2019. She was born May 25th, 1930 to the late Dollie and Sylvanus Miles. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Veola and Quincy, and one brother, Roosevelt.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four loving daughters, Doreen Bradby, Bettie Paige (Irving, Sr.), Barbara Quivers (Wesley) and Carla Crewe (Welton). Eleven grandchildren, Eric, Tori, Jamie, Alexis, Irving, Jr., Whitney, Ashley, Jordan, Jeremy, Rickala and Ricky, Jr. Ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She also leaves one loving sister, Mae West Jones, an aunt, Florence “Toad” Taylor, devoted friend, Carl “Bitterman” Whitehead, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Fannie joined Gilfied Baptist Church at an early age. She was an excellent fisherman. Along with her fishing buddy, Pearl Paige, they would often put everybody else to shame that was fishing beside them.

She even had a “fishing hole” named especially for her, called “Minnow’s Hole”. She loved growing her tomatoes and bragging about her watermelons that accidentally grew from the seeds she threw out. She loved beating you at dominoes, playing cards and listening to music.

She always had a very caring attitude and a big heart for whomever had a need. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her. A funeral service will be held 2 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Gilfield Baptist Church, 6640 Church Lane, Charles City, VA 23030.

Viewing will take place from 12 noon to 5pm Friday, March 15, 2019 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140.
