OBITUARY Fauntaine Weir August 5, 1928 – September 4, 2018 Fauntaine Weir, 90, passed away on September 4th, 2018 at Waterford Place. Fauntaine was born to William W. and Ethel V. Tartar on August 5th, 1928 in Kokomo. Fauntaine attended Kokomo High School, then went on to marry LeRoy J. Weir, on December 29th, 1945.

Together, they owned and operated Spring Hill Campground. Fauntaine was also a homemaker, and worked in the cafeteria at Wallace School. Fauntaine enjoyed crafting, making baskets, and tole painting.

She liked to paint the birdhouses that LeRoy built. Fauntaine and LeRoy travelled all over the country together, and loved to camp. Fauntaine leaves behind her children Gary (Rita) Weir and Debbie (Jerry) Maden; 6 grandchildren, Wendy (Joe Pollack) Layton, Meredith Weir, Brett Maden, Devon (Steve) Good, Kelly Maden, and Maisey Turley; 6 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Fauntaine is preceded in passing by her husband, her parents, her daughter, Rhonda Turley, and 5 brothers. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memory Garden on Tuesday, September 11th at 11:00 AM. Pastor Robert Hackle will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
