Mrs. Faye Kinsey, age 95, widow of the late Edgar Eugene Kinsey passed away Thursday night in Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 18, 1923 in Mossy Head, Florida the daughter of James Edward Clark and Dora Ann Wilks Clark. Faye enjoyed many years of embroidery, some china painting and work in oils.

After her husband’s death, she enjoyed ballroom dancing with her friend Obie, and square dancing and side stepping. One of her favorite things was fixing dinner for her family on holidays. Faye Clark Kinsey joined First Baptist Church, April 7, 1935 and was a faithful and loyal member until ill health prevailed.

She is predeceased by her husband, her son Dennis Eugene Kinsey, her brothers, Edward Oquin Clark, James Danrolph Clark and William Kendal Clark. Her sister, Sue Clark Jones also precedes her in death. Among survivors are her son, Russell Kinsey and wife Gail; her daughter-in-law Carol Kinsey; her grandchildren, Vicki Warner and husband Randy, Dennis Brown and wife Diane, Tracey March and husband Jim, Kimberly Woody and husband Jesse, Chris Kinsey and Lesley, Elaine Schofield and husband Les and Jessica Kinsey.

Twenty four great grandchildren and forty three great great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. Among those asked to serve as active pallbearers are Aaron Parker, Bobby Hampton, Chris Kinsey, Dennis Brown, Les Schofield and Jesse Woody. Those asked to serve as honorary pallbearers are James Marsh, James Earl Cofield, Leonard Thorn, Jack Johnson and Harold Carpenter.

Floral arrangements are being accepted or memorials may be made in Faye Kinsey’s memory to favorite charities. A time of visitation will be Monday, December 31, 2018 from 10 until 11 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Bobby Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Kinsey Family Plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
