OBITUARY Faye Lee Edmonds October 22, 1934 – January 8, 2019 Mrs. Faye Bowman Edmonds, 84, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, January 8, 2019 following several months of declining health. Faye was born in Patrick County, VA, October 22, 1934, a daughter of the late Jesse James Bowman and Viola Elizabeth Noonkester Bowman. She retired from the veneer industry.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Edmonds and a son, Dennis Edmonds. She was an active member of Allendale Baptist Church and enjoyed going out to eat with friends. Faye loved gardening and the outdoors in her younger years and thrift shopping her entire life.

Surviving are a daughter, Diane Greene and husband Mark; two sons, Clayton Edmonds and wife Janet and Rick Southard and wife Stacey; two sisters, Roena Hopkins and Reva Thurston and husband Bill; brother, James Bowman and wife Elaine; daughter in law, Jane Edmonds; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Faye’s life will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Allendale Baptist Church by Rev. David Younger.

Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 until 1 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
