Obituary for Mrs. Faye Shelton Mrs. Faye Shelton, 77, of Mayfield, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Mrs. Shelton was born on December 29, 1940 in Almo, KY to the late Clois Hopkins and Willie Lovett Hopkins. Faye was an avid Mayfield High School football fan and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Mayfield.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Vernon Hopkins, Palmer Hopkins, Charles Hopkins and one sister, Frances Miller Brandon. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ronnie Shelton of Mayfield; a son, Jeff Shelton (Becky) of Lexington; a daughter, Mitzi Kelly (Brian) of Edmond, OK; a brother, John D. Hopkins (Cathy) of Murray; two sisters, Ila Brown of Murray, Joan McDougal (Mike) of Murray and seven grandchildren, Ethan, Zach and Emily Shelton, Brice, Bishop, Brooks and Brady Kelly. The funeral service is set for 11 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Northside Baptist Church, 611 W Lockridge Street in Mayfield.

Al Chandler will officiate and burial will follow at North Mt. Zion Cemetery in Graves County. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Shelton’s family will receive visitors from 10 AM until the funeral hour at the church. The Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences available at www.
