Ferdinand H.P. Thurman Jr., age 52 of Ft. Wayne and formerly of Garrett, IN died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 3, 1966 in Auburn, IN to Ferdinand “Ferd” H.P. Thurman Sr. and Beverly Joan (Fike) Thurman.

He worked in the family’s rubber factory in Garrett and was recently doing home remodeling. He was a member of the Garrett Presbyterian Church. Ferdinand is survived by his mother: Beverly Joan Thurman, Garrett, IN; sister: Vickie and Grady Holifield, Garrett, IN; brother: Russell and Debbie Drew, Garrett, IN.

Graveside memorial services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN with Funeral Celebrant Thomas Drzewiecki officiating. There will be no visitation.
