Our Father in Heaven opened His arms to receive Ferne Evelyn Cutshall on Sunday, December 30, 2018. She passed away at Colonial Acres, Humboldt, Nebraska at the age of 95 years, 5 months, and 6 days. Ferne was born on July 24, 1923 in Bern, Kansas, to Anton and Minnie (Gewecke) Rasmussen.

Ferne graduated from Bern High School in 1941. Ferne married Glenn W. Cutshall November 29, 1941 in Papillon, Nebraska. They were married 57 years, before Glenn passed away on May 22, 1999.

In 1952 Ferne accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Ferne was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pawnee City, Nebraska since 1953. She had a Good News Club in her home, taught Sunday school and helped with AWANA.

Ferne was a devoted wife and wonderful caring Mother. She cherished her family and above all else she was a women of strong Christian faith who loved the Lord. She loved to read her Bible every day.

She enjoyed baking cinnamon rolls, angel food cakes, taking a walk, and gardening. She loved sitting on the porch swing listening to the little wrens. Ferne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn Cutshall, her sisters, Belva Cox, Pearle Howell, Leona Kooser, her brothers, Raymond Rasmussen, Leland Rasmussen and grandson David Cutshall.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Meyer (Russell) of Owasso, OK, Karen Binder (Richard) of Table Rock, NE, Mike Cutshall (Sharon) of Topeka, KS, Brenda Moreels (Dave) of Stewartsville, MO, and Tracy Bredow (Mark) of Topeka, KS. Ferne was also loved by 13 grandchildren, Todd Meyer (Tracy), Shayla McQueary (Steven), Darwin Binder (Jennifer), Dustin Binder (Jenny), LaShawn Noel (Blake), Matt Cutshall, Michelle Kirk (Doug), Monte Cutshall (Tamara), Casey Potter (Derrick), Melissa Stallbaumer, Julie Stallbaumer, Nathan Bredow, Carly Bredow. She was blessed with 23 great grandchildren, Lexi, Peyton, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Madison, Megan (Andrew), Rachel, Juliana, Clayton, Brooklyn, Kristin, Kallista, Wyatt, Lily-Kate, Weslyn, Shelby, Sheyann, Austin, Ashley, Whitney, Mathew, JD, Roman and one great great grandson, Milo and also surviving are many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Officiating Pastor Chris Rohrbaugh. Visitation on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Interment at the Bern Cemetery, Bern, Kansas. Memorials to family choice. Online condolences may be left at www.
