Flora Jean Whitney, 82 of Petoskey, died March 26, 2019 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. Flora was born August 23, 1936 in Petoskey to Fred and Eleanor (Donaldson) Wormell. She attended Petoskey Schools and was a graduate of Petoskey High School.

On October 20, 1956 Flora married Floyd Edward Reeves, he preceded her in death October 21, 1987. She then married Lloyd Merton Whitney and he also preceded her in death August 5, 2007. Flora worked as a medical transcriptionist at Burns Clinic Medical Center for 18 years.

She was also a lifelong member of Epsilon United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children Debra (Mike) Wittenbarger of Rathdrum, Idaho, Edward (Janine) Reeves of St. Maries, Idaho, Michael J. Reeves of Kenai, Alaska, and Aaron (Jane) Reeves of Petoskey; her sister Thelma (James) Luesing of Petoskey and her brother John (Linda) Wormell of Petoskey; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 3 step grandchildren. Flora was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Donald and Calvin and a sister, Dora.
