Obituary for Florence B Hurtubise (Chase) Florence B. Hurtubise (Chase), 83, of Scio, NY, formerly of North Tonawanda, entered into rest Tuesday (May 29, 2018) surrounded by family in Olean General Hospital . Mrs. Hurtubise was born in Tonawanda, New York on April 28, 1935 to Wallace and Pearl (McOmber) Chase. Florence was a Teacher for the North Tonawanda Public Schools (Spruce) for over 40 years.

She then moved to the Town of Scio for her retirement with her husband Joseph. Florence is survived by her husband Joseph J. Hurtubise, mother of Rick (Tia) Hurtubise, Michele (Dayle) Dewey, and Thomas (the late Vicki) Uglinica, sister of Wallace (Loretta) Chase, Carlene (Frantz) Ruettimann, also surviving are many other family, and friends. Friends may call Thursday from 2-5 P.M. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, where Funeral services will follow.
