She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband, and love of her life, Paul J. Berube Sr., after 51 years of marriage, and also by two brothers, Edward and Daniel Lettic, and a sister Sally (Lettic) Silva.

She was also predeceased by a son and daughter who died at birth. Florence was born March 28, 1924 in Worcester, and lived there all her life. She was the daughter of Mary and Frank Lettic.

She graduated from David Hale Fanning High School and went on to become a supervisor at David Clark Company, where she was involved in making parachutes during WW2. She volunteered as a school cafeteria worker at Rice Square School while her sons were young and later worked at Caldor in Worcester and Auburn. An avid seamstress, she made beautiful clothing for herself as a young woman and was always skilled at repairs and alterations.

Florence also loved dancing, from her single years, when she frequented Johnny Hines Dance Hall, to well into her eighties. She was a member of the Lithuanian War Veteran’s Club for many years and later enjoyed socializing at the Auburn Elks Lodge where she and Paul made many friends. Among them were John and Phyllis Benoit of Leicester who remained wonderful friends during her widowed years.

Paul and Mark would like to express their gratitude to the professional, loving and caring staffs of both Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Notre Dame Hospice in Worcester. Florence was very proud of her sons and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She was a vivacious woman with beautiful blue eyes who loved a good laugh.
