Obituary for Florence Mascio Florence Mascio passed away peacefully on August 31, 2018. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who was devoted to her family. Formerly, she resided in South Philadelphia.

Florence loved Frank Sinatra and in her earlier days, would play hooky from school to go to the Erlanger theatre to see Frank perform. She was a wonderful dancer for all of her life. As she grew older, she never lost that spark.

In her 90s, she had a birthday party at the Stardust ballroom where she danced with her walker in hand. Her next love was Bingo. She played 60 cards, over almost as many years, rarely won, but loved to play anyway.

Trips to the Casino, where she played the penny slot machines, were a passion of hers as well. Also, rarely won, but just loved spending time there. Florence is the beloved wife of the late Frank Mascio, loving mother of Marie (Louis) Borella, Frank Mascio Jr., Annette Mascio and the late Thomas “The Barber” Mola.

Dearest grandmother of Louis (Maria) Borella Jr., Gina Borella, and great grandmother of Olivia and Marcello Borella. She is also survived by her brother, Henry Blaszczyk, many nieces and nephews, and devoted friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Wednesday morning beginning 9am at Our Lady of Mt.

Carmel Church, 3rd & Wolf Sts. , Philadelphia. Funeral Mass will follow at 10am.
