As Deputy Chief Daigle, he was in command of the Criminal Investigation Command, until his retirement on February 2, 1990. Floyd’s service to the community did not stop there as he went on the serve the community of Pasadena as Chief of Police from 1991 until his retirement in 1994. Floyd had many pastimes and loved every single one of them!
He loved that he was Cajun and could speak French, he loved sports, playing and watching them, if it has the word “ball” in the name Floyd was there. He was very competitive and played softball, and volleyball for the Houston Police Olympics. He loved to play poker with his buddies and swap “war stories”.
He was a member of the 100 Club and the Retired Officers Association. He took great pride in being a Jennings High School Bulldog. If asked what he truly loved though, it would be his family and the special trips they took every year to Garner State Park and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved to the moon and back.
