Obituary for Frances Adams Crowell Frances Adams Crowell Martinez, Ga. – Frances Adams Crowell went to be with her Lord on October 3, 2018. Frances was born on December 7th, 1940, in Augusta, Georgia.

A graduate of the Academy of Richmond County, Frances had a lifelong career in banking which she began at the C&S Bank and continued at First Federal Savings and Loan, Banker’s First, and retirement from Regions Bank. Frances was the president and longtime member of the Augusta Credit Professionals. Frances loved the Lord, her family and friends, and her music.

A lifelong member of Warren Baptist Church, she was active in the singles ministry and the senior adult ministry. She was a member of the Warren Baptist Church adult choir, since the age of thirteen. She was an active member of the Columbia County Choral Society and served on the Board of Directors.

Frances cared for her family and friends in many ways. She was a devoted mother to her children, a loving daughter, a caring sister, and a thoughtful friend. Frances had a way of doing the little things that meant so much to her family and friends.

Frances is preceded in death by her daughter: Beverly Nell Crowell; her parents: Julian M. and Elizabeth Macky Adams; her brother: Richard Wade Adams; and her nephew: John Arnold Adams. She is survived by her son: O. Lamar Crowell, Jr. (Wendy) of Martinez; her daughter: Sandra Crowell Hessey (Randy) of Atlanta; her grandson: Travis William Crowell of Martinez; her brother: David H. Adams of Moultrie, GA; her sister-in-law: Evelyn Morris Adams of Martinez; her nephew: Julian Wade Adams of Albany, NY; her niece: Charlotte A. Kegley (Seth) of Kathleen, GA; and great nieces and nephews, Aubrey, Annalyn, and Ryan Kegley. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Warren Baptist Church on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2:00 P.M., Rev.

Bret Legg and Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Nash Life Group.

Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Donations in memory of Frances can be made to The CSRA GYN Cancer Support Group at P.O. Box 3485 Augusta, GA 30914 or to the Columbia County Choral Society at P.O. Box 1633 Evans, GA. 30809.
