Frances LeFan Sherrod was born September 11, 1934 and passed away June 24, 2018. Visitation will be at Colbert Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Sherrod, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd LeFan, her brother Joe LeFan, and her sister Ginger Grissom.

She is survived by: sons Greg Sherrod, Mark Sherrod (Pam), and Stan Sherrod (Jennifer); grandchildren David Sherrod (Amanda), Jenna Sherrod Ashley (Joe), Laura Sherrod, Kenneth Tyler Sherrod, Katy Sherrod, and Lyndsey Sherrod Bates (Drew); great grandchildren Austin Ray Ashley, Amber Grace Hulsey, Brayden Ashley, Gavin Hulsey and Kylie Ashely; brothers Gary LeFan and Terry LeFan (Teresa); nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends; and her best friend Gladys Alexander. Mrs. Sherrod was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. She was retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Pallbearers will be David Sherrod, Tyler Sherrod, Joe Ashley, Drew Bates, Austin Ashley, and Matt Coulter. Honorary pallbearer is Franklin Hine. The family would like to thank the staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth and Hospice of North Alabama for their care during Mrs. Sherrod’s final days.

A special thanks to Station 5 at Mitchell Hollingsworth for the love, compassion, and tenderness shown to our mom. Colbert Memorial Chapel, Tuscumbia, is directing.
