Frances M. (Stavinski) Bienkiewicz, 96 of Blackstone, Massachusetts, died peacefully on January 8, 2019 at the Ballou Home, Woonsocket. She was the loving wife of the late Frank J. Bienkiewicz who passed in 1997. Born on August 22, 1922 in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Surowiecki) Stavinski.

Before retiring in 1984 from the Foxboro Company as a data tagging specialist, she worked at the former Warwick Shoppers World, and during World War II, was a welder at the Walsh Kaiser Shipyard. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a graduate of Blackstone High School, class of 1939.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Picard and her husband Ernest “Pete” Picard, and granddaughter, Alyson. She leaves fourteen nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased in death by seven siblings, John, Frederick, and Henry Stavinski, Anna Godbout, Bertha Luciano, Caroline Gaboury, and Mary Kozaka.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Blackstone. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:30am at the church.
