Obituary for Mrs. Frances Wilkes McKenzie Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Wilkes McKenzie, 68, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Wilkes Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Tami Stover, Rev.

Charlie Short, Rev. Tal Windham, and Rev. Steve Winburn will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Frances entered into rest on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born in Darlington Co., SC, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Malone and Mae Etter Warren Wilkes.

Frances was a loving wife, sister, and friend. Surviving are her husband, Steve Wilson McKenzie of the home; son, Stevie McKenzie; sister, Mary Lou Hancock; brothers, Jessie “Boker” (Lou Ann) Wilkes, Gene (Deena) Wilkes, Jerry (Abigail) Wilkes, Lawrence “Pete” Wilkes. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy McKenzie; brother, James “Tot” Wilkes.
