Frances Zablosky, July 28, 1939 — May 13, 2019

Frances Zablosky, of Terrell, passed away May 13, 2019 with those she held dearest by her side. Frances was born in Hobbs, NM to Calvin Carl and Jimmie Irene (Haskins) Lyons, both of whom preceded her in death along with an infant sister. Frances and Don were married March 4, 1960 at Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Dallas.

She trained at Baylor Hospital as a radiologist technician where her strong faith and compassionate words were a comfort to countless patients during their exams. Her professionalism and kindness so readily seen by other medical staff and colleagues gave her the skills to work in many doctors’ offices in Dallas, Garland and Richardson where she was a valued asset in patient care. She and Don lived in the same house in Garland for over 37 years as they raised their family with a strong foundation in love.

While living in Garland, she was a member for almost 4 decades at Calvary Baptist Church where she truly enjoyed singing in the choir. Later, after she and Don moved to Terrell, they became members of First Baptist Church where Frances’ lovely smile made an instant friend of all who met her. A wonderful woman with a sweet spirit, Frances will be missed by all who loved her.

Frances is survived by her husband, Don Zablosky of Terrell; sons: Don Zablosky, Jr and wife, Mary Helen, Jon Zablosky and wife, Anne, and Eric Zablosky and wife, Karen; eight grandchildren; brother, Calvin Carl Lyons, III and wife, Linda; sister, Cynthia Scales as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and a host of friends. A Celebration of Frances’ life will be at 1:30pm, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Lowrie officiating.
