Frances Strickland was born Sept. 20, 1923 in Corsicana, TX, the precious daughter of Emil and Lovie Pietsch. She completed this life on Nov.

20, 2018, at the age of 95. She married Douglas E. Strickland Aug 27, 1943, and they together lived in Dallas, Houston and St. Louis before permanently becoming Okies in 1958. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Doug, and her daughter Linda Kay Strickland.

She is survived by her son, Ted Strickland and wife Jeannie; grandsons Dax Strickland and wife Carrie; Sean Strickland and wife Leah; Cole Strickland and wife Lindsay; granddaughters Bridget Gatewood and husband Bennie; and Brenda Kimble. Frances had eleven beloved great grandchildren: Luke, Colin, Everett, Knox, Jack, Annie, Rowe, Corbin, Britney, Charis and Braeton, and one great great granddaughter, Kimberlyn. She is also survived by her loving brother Howard Pietsch and wife Kathy, of Tyler, TX.
