Francis Glenn Fry, Jr (Frank) was born February 1, 1940, in Prairie View, Texas. He was the last of four children born to Ethel Mae Phillips Fry and Francis Glenn Fry, Sr. Frank attended Prairie View Training School and graduated high school from Booker Washington Institute (BWI) in Liberia West Africa. He also completed Philco Radio School also in Liberia before returning to the states.

He then pursued studies at Prairie View College and the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. In 1961, Frank joined the United States Air Force, serving mainly in Asia and North America for 26 years. For a little over 21 of those years he was an electronics warfare systems technician, retiring at the rank of master sergeant in October 1987.

His last duty station was 4950 Test Wing at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton Ohio. He was a highly decorated soldier with numerous medals and awards to include Air medal with two silver and four bronze oak leaf clusters, Air Force commendation medal with one oak leaf cluster, Vietnam service medal with two service stars Republic of Vietnam gallantry cross with device, Republic of Vietnam campaign medal Frank was an avid bodybuilder which continued long after his retirement. He also loved to ride roller coasters, or as he explained it, he loved to see other people’s reactions when getting off roller coasters.

He was a devoted member of Overlook Church of Christ in Riverside, Ohio until his relocation in December 2015. He was a one- man media ministry where he purchased, set up, operated and maintained the media equipment for all church services. Wherever he relocated, he always attended and supported a local congregation until he was no longer physically able.

Then Minister Alvertice Bowdre faithfully visited and shared the word with him every Sunday. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Eleanor J Bryant of San Diego California. Frank is survived by sisters Mary E Moore of Houston, TX and Irene L Davis of Katy, TX.

Nieces, Glenda Gregory (Terrence), Dimebox, TX; Carla Davis-White (Johnnie) of Cedar Hill, TX; Julie Mack of Katy, TX; Wanda Davis of Tampa, FL; Ruby Ajala of Hearne, TX; and Joyce Bryant of San Diego, CA. Nephews Gary Johnson (Frankie) of Prairie View, TX; Hulen Davis, Jr (Pam) of Sterling, VA; Bruce Davis (Dorie) of San Antonio, TX; Gene Davis (Keisha) of Missouri City, TX; Charles Davis (Sandra) of Houston, TX; David Bryant (Kim), Roland (Dana) Bryant, Carlin (Tammie) Bryant all of San Diego, CA. Devoted friends Joe and Lea Washington of Springfield, OH, and Mike Feltner of Dayton, OH.
