OBITUARY Francisco Leal Dinis August 28, 1948 – November 15, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Francisco Leal Dinis, age 70, of Galt, California passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was born August 28, 1948 in Porto Judeu de Baixo, Terceira, Açores to parents Vitalina Gomes Leal and Francisco da Cunha Dinis. Francisco is survived by: his wife Elvira M. Dinis of Galt; son Francisco M. Dinis (Sara) of Hilmar; son José H. Dinis (Melissa) of Galt; daughter Vera L. Whittenburg (Christopher) of Manteca; sister Fatima M. Dinis of Terceira, Açores; sister Rosalina D. Assis of Canada; and brothers Antonio F. Dinis and Edmundo M. Dinis both of Terceira, Açores.

Mr. Dinis also leaves behind eleven grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews to honor his memory. Francisco was preceded in death by his sister Maria C. Dinis and his parents Vitalina Gomes Leal and Francisco da Cunha Dinis. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Galt, California.

A visitation for Mr. Francisco Leal Dinis will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary will occur later that evening at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Parish: 9961 Elk Grove Florin Road, Elk Grove, California. A funeral mass will occur at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Parish: 9961 Elk Grove Florin Road, Elk Grove, California.

Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Lodi Memorial Park: 5750 E. Pine Street, Lodi, California. Serving as pallbearers are Francisco M. Dinis, José H. Dinis, Christopher Whittenburg, Francisco M. Dinis II, Jeffrey Dinis, Joseph Dinis, and Ian Whittenburg. Services for Francisco Leal Dinis are under the care of Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD504) in Turlock, California.
