Frank Beno, 86, of Atlantic Beach, FL passed away peacefully at home, Monday, September 24, 2018. His wife, Betty Beno, of 65 years by his side. He was born in Clinton, IN on March 28, 1932 to James and Mary Bino.

Frank proudly served his country with diligence and integrity for twenty-three years in the Navy. After serving in the United States Navy, Frank worked for Eli Lilly. He retired from Eli Lilly with the twenty years of service.

Frank loved working with his hands. Those precious hands labored many hours in love and built many cherished items that will be forever treasured by his family. He was a master woodworker.

Frank loved his family and the Lord faithfully. A wood working genius and a faithful sailor are both honorable, but the highest status Frank obtained was as the hero to his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family! Anxiously awaiting the great day of reunion are his wife, Betty Beno; children: Sherri Beno, Jerry Beno, Terri Beno, and Lisa (Kurt) Lewsader; sisters: Marie (Jake) Yates, Rosella (Bill) Ramsey and Betty Ann (Tony) Apfel; and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

It is with great sadness the family is compelled to announce a Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Jacksonville Beach, FL on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at St. Paul’s Saturday morning from 10:30 A.M. until the Mass. A burial honoring Frank’s military service and honor will be Monday, October 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
