Frank Josef Lamesfield passed away at home peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He was born June 14, 1918 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and immigrated to the United States with his family July 24, 1923. He was proceeded in death by his father Frank Nicholas Lammesfelder Lamesfield, mother Elizabeth Lamesfield, siblings Florence Ehl, Irene Fuller, John Lamesfield, daughter Sandra (Sandy) Snowball, grandson Kevin Brown, and recognizing previous wives Vivian Woods Lamesfield, Gertrude (Trudi) Frost Lamesfield.

He is survived by son: Chris & wife Sharon Lamesfield, Step children: Larry & wife Diane Frost, Carl Frost and Kim Frost. Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and ex-wife Martha Landis Lamesfield. Frank grew up in Flint, MI and attended Kearsley Elementary School, Central High School, Mott Community College and GMI.

He worked for AC Spark Plug as an engineer and retired after 41 years! He dedicated 25 years of his life to the Boyne Mountain Ski Patrol and was an honorary life time member! He had businesses in Jackson (English Meadows Mobile Home Village), Beaverton (Pleasant Beach Mobile Home Resort), Flint (Fiberon), and Boyne City (Boyne Affordable Housing).

Frank was an active sportsman through his life including many endeavors: Roller Skating National Pairs Champion, Equestrian owner and riding prize horses, Member of the Clinton River Ski Club, Grand Canyon rafting trip at age 60, Helicopter ski week in Canadian Bugaboos at age 70, Member of Boyne City Yacht Club and owner of 42’ yacht Lucky Lucky and a 36’ sailboat with trips to the North Channel, Bare-boat skippering a 42’ catamaran sailboat in the British Virgin Islands, Member of the Boyne City Bike Club including trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway at age 84 and Minnesota Boundary Waters at age 90. Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Stackus Funeral Home, 417 Elm Street Boyne City, MI 49712 and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2019 at Stackus Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Neihardt officiating.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 13, 2019 at Evangeline Township Cemetery. “Thank you Private Live Inn Care LLC. of Petoskey 619.
