Frank Kearney, a lifelong resident of Tarrytown died February 15, 2019 at the age of 76 from complications of a tragic fall in 2017. Born in Tarrytown on January 22, 1943, he was the son of Francis and Loretta MacDonald Kearney. Frank had worked for General Motors and later for the Town of Greenburgh.

He was an avid New York Jets and New York Mets fan. He was well known around town usually seen in his Jets jacket, sweatshirt or T-shirt. Even in retirement he kept busy helping his uncle Hank at Hank’s Alley and working for the Setback Inn on Main Street.

He was a member of Washington Engine Company #2, Tower Ladder 78. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Roger, Karen and Jeff Bucci and David, Susan, Betsy and Lynn Shwer and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Lillian Shwer and Patricia Bucci as well as his niece Robin Birrittella and nephew Thomas Bucci.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6PM to 9PM when Fire Department Services will be held at 7PM. A funeral mass is being planned for March and details will be announced.
