Frank Muchel, age 95, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Salisbury CT. Frank was born on May 29, 1923 in Aquebogue, New York and lived in Huntington Station for most of his life, until recently moving to Norfolk CT. Frank was a graduate if Huntington High School and played football during his school years.

He worked at Grumman Aerospace on their infamous plane- the Avenger, and later joined the Army Air Force during Work War II. He served with distinction in the South Pacific Theatre. After returning, Frank met his wife and lifelong companion, Lillian.

They were married in 1950. Frank later worked as a Carpenter building many homes in the Huntington area. In the 1960’s he became a Foreman with Donaldson Acoustics where he worked until retirement.

Frank worked on many large construction projects including the Health and Science complex at Stony Brook University Hospital. Frank enjoyed gardening, boating, and fishing but most of all enjoyed his family. A lifelong Catholic, Franks’ principles were founded in honesty, faith, generosity, and above all family.

Frank is preceded by his wife, Lillian and siblings, Leo, Andy, Raymond, Robert, Mary, Lorraine and George. He is survived by his children Kathy, Frank, and Joan and by his 7 Grandchildren Michael, Alex, Maureen, Brenna, Thomas, Steven, and Jacob. Frank was a lifelong parishioner of St. Hugh of Lincoln R.C. Church.
