Obituary for Fred Allen Brown Fred A. Brown, age 86, went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 15, 2018 at his home. A memorial service for Fred will be at 2 pm Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Carbon Community Church in Carbon, TX. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Fred Allen Brown was born April 16, 1932 in Sweetwater, TX to Fred and Gladys McCain Brown. He was a graduate of Carbon High School and Cisco College. He was a rancher and farmer but was best known as the owner and operator of Grandpaw’s Smokehouse between Eastland and Cisco of CR 190.

On Christmas Eve, 1954 he married Miss Donna Wagnon in Shilo Church in Comanche Co. and spent the next 61 years by his side until her death in 2016. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife and two brothers, Bill Brown and Jim Brown. He is survived by his children; Jim Brown and wife Lita, Jake Brown and wife Jolyn Johnson and Jennifer Hardy and husband Craig, three grandchildren; Regan, Lane and Wyatt and nephew Kris Brown and wife D’aun.
