Obituary for Fred Pastore FRED S PASTORE, was born on June 25, 1954 to mother Winnie and father Fred at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. He spent his childhood in Madison, WI, graduated high school from Glenbard North in Illinois and attended and played football at DuPage University. Fred’s professions ranged from driving snowplows; coaching children sports; mentoring young cowboys in rodeos; working as a computer analyst; and, of course, being a cowboy.

As we all know, his passions encompassed a love for good friends, guns, cars, golf, football, Packers, Cubs, and a cold Coors Light at the Moose. We can all agree that Fred has impacted many lives and most of you know he had a lot of buddies who did a lot of things. You never had to wonder what he was thinking… because he was always there to tell it like it is.

Anyone who knew Fred might say that they had not met a more kind and compassionate soul. Fred bravely and relentlessly fought a 4-year battle with cancer but was overcome at age 64. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his beautiful and loving wife, Angie to whom he was married for 24 years; his four children; Steve (Australia), Kelly (Illinois), Kyle (Texas) and Allie (Arizona), numerous grandchildren, his mother Winnie (Arizona), and brothers Dave (California), Jimmy (Arizona) and by many wonderful people whom he was fortunate to call his friends”.

“Each morning I’d saddle Ocho and ride out through the cattle, The gates closing behind me breaking the silence wit their rattle. Cattle’d get up and move, getting out of your way Calves run and kick, figuring out how to play. The river is high, from the mountain snow melt, Eagles diving for breakfast, the warmth of the sun can be felt.

No telling what’s coming, the day can change like the weather You trust your horse and your rope and sit high in your leather”.
