Obituary for Freddie Burl Branch, Sr. Freddie B. Branch, Sr., 77, of Samson Park, TX, passed away on October 9, 2018, due to complications after surgery. Freddie was born in Paragould, Ark. on January 18, 1941, to parents, Leslie Glen Branch and Myrtle Lee Denham Branch.

He enlisted in the Army at age 12, serving 6 months in the 35th Tank Battalion until being discharged in October 1956. He then reenlisted in January 1958 and served in the 101st Airborne Division, stationed in Germany, until being honorably discharged in January 1961. After the Army, Freddie spent some time on the rodeo circuit riding bulls, became a long-haul truck driver, and an ordained minister.

Freddie married Ronda (Luna) Bane on June 21, 1983 and lived in the Fort Worth area, where he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, making renovations to their home, and having coffee with his close friends at Moe’s Cafe, in River Oaks, Texas. Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Branch of Antlers, Okla. and mother, Myrtle Lee Denham Branch, of California.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ronda Luna Branch; sons, Freddie Ray Branch and wife Elena of Hot Springs, Ariz. , and Terry Dean Branch and wife Rajeanna, of Norman, Okla. ; daughter, Christy Branch Crow and husband, Brian of Cement, Okla.

and Christine Bane Crook of Springtown, Texas; brothers, Raymond Branch and wife, Nancy, of Antlers, Okla. , Phillip Branch and wife, Linda, of Guymon, Okla. ; and sisters, Lee Beach, of Fort Worth, Texas, Lillie Johnson of Eugene, Okla.

, Beth Sweet of Antlers, Okla. , Brenda Keener of San Antonio, Texas and Debbie Jones of Antlers, Okla. , as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and beloved companion, Jazzy.
