Freddie Eugene Hedges, 70, of Brandenburg, KY passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital. Mr. Hedges was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from the KY Department of Corrections and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey E. Hedges; and his parents, Bernard & Mary Hedges. Survivors include: One daughter, Saundra York; eight grandchildren, Brittany Allen, Travis Patzer, Stephen Patzer, Marissa Puckett, Jenna Stargel, Justin Hedges, Jeffrey Hedges, Hillary Toulliver; six great grandchildren, Addison, Abigail, Karma, Lacey, Kinzlee, Serenity; his companion, Lou Ann Grace; several siblings; and a host of family & friends. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM Monday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Hedges will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday, November 5, 2018 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY with military honors.
