Frederick Carl Misbach, Jr., “Bud”, 82, of Lebanon and formerly of North Haven, beloved husband of Mildred “Midge” (Gareri) Misbach, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 at Middle Hospital. Born Feb.

9, 1936 in New Haven, he was the son of the late Frederick and Louise (Hausmann) Misbach, Sr Mr. Misbach had worked as an offset lithographer for Bellrock Color in Stratford for many years before his retirement. He had served on the Civil Defense League in North Haven, was a Ham Radio Operator and was active with the American Radio Relay League.

Bud and Midge enjoyed many years of boating on Long Island Sound and beyond as members of the Branford Yacht Club. Their favorite ports of call were Block Island and Greenport, Long Island. They traveled the country in their RV after retiring from boating, and were members of the local Winnebago club.

Bud was a life member of the Wallingford Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed gardening, harvesting firewood and feeding the birds at his home in Lebanon. In addition to his loving wife of 36 years, he leaves six children, Frederick Misbach, III of Engelwood, FL, Cheryl Apuzzo (and her husband, Paul) of North Haven, Ronald Misbach (and his wife, Karen) of North Haven, Robert Misbach (and his wife, Renee) of Colchester, Roger Misbach (and his wife, Ellen) of Meriden, and Russell Misbach (and his wife, Karen) of Cromwell; three stepdaughters, 15 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his sister, Florence Reemsnyder. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday (Dec. 22nd) directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 67 West Town St., Lebanon.

There are no calling hours. All are invited to a reception at the Colchester Fish and Game Club immediately following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Middle Hospice, 28 Crescent St., Middletown 06457.

Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
