Obituary for Gary Hansen Gary Andrew Hansen was born on September 13, 1935 to Andrew and Faye (Weiland) Hansen of Brainerd. After graduating from high school, he worked as a carpenter and also joined the Minnesota National Guard and was in the Army Reserves. Gary was united in marriage with Lila Mae Olson on February 6, 1954 in Brainerd.

Together they made their home and raised their family in Brainerd and later moved to Wadena after retirement. Gary died unexpectedly at the age of 82 on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Tri-County Healthcare Hospital in Wadena. Preceding Gary in death were his parents Andrew and Faye and son Michael; Survivors include loving wife Lila and daughters Donna of Sierra Madre, California and Linda of Brainerd.
