Obituary for Gary James Guidroz Gary James Guidroz, 77, of Groves passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Gary was born October 25, 1940 in Port Arthur to the late Lillian and Alcee Guidroz. Gary was a pipefitter at Texaco Refinery and also served his country in the Texas National Guard.

He was a member of the Spindletop Streetrod Car Club and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Groves. Gary is survived by his wife of 32 years, Beverly Laird Guidroz; step-son, Sean Riley and his wife, Bethany and their children, Annah, Oliver and Asher; his brother, Jeffrey Guidroz and his wife, Linda and their children, Jonathan, Brandon, and Sarah; his brother, Gregory and his wife, Wendy and their children, Blair and Jana. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Paula Guidroz.

A gathering of the family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund has been set up at MCT Credit Union in Gary Guidroz’s memory.
