Obituary for Gary Lee Hamblin Gary Lee Hamblin, 83 of Weir, KS passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Friday October 12, 2018 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. He was born August 15, 1935 in Columbus, KS the son of Leo and Ruby (Zwahlen) Hamblin. On August 14, 1955 he was united in marriage to Marylyn J. Ferlo in West Mineral, KS; she preceded him in death on November 7, 2016.

Gary worked for the school as a custodian for many years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed working outside and in the yard. He was a member of the Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg.

Survivors include two sons: Mike (DeAnn) Hamblin of Weir and Carey (Jan) Hamblin of Rimrock, AZ; a daughter Pam (Ron) Yancey of Weir; a sister Deanne Benthusen of Paola, KS; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and an infant son. The family will receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir from 6-8pm, Thursday evening on October 18, 2018.

Inurnment will be at the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir at a later date. Condolences may be left at www. bathnaylor.com.
