Gary Ralph Christensen April 24, 1938 – February 12, 2019 Gary Ralph Christensen, of North Logan, Utah, has rejoined his family and Heavenly Father after a brave battle with leukemia. Words cannot express the sense of loss experienced at the passing of his beautiful spirit. Gary was born to Ralph and Evah Christensen on April 24, 1938, in Chester, Utah.

Adored by his siblings, Gary was raised in Spring City, Utah and graduated from Carbon High School in 1956. He took his sweetheart, Patsy L. Wells, on their first date to the movies at age 10, though it wasn’t until 1956 that they fell in love and decided to build a life together. They married in the Manti temple in 1957 and worked tirelessly teaching their five children to love, work, and laugh.

Gary was a self-made man, transforming himself from gas station attendant to mortgage banker and real estate developer. His guitar playing, fly fishing, gardening, and wood working were the products of his strong, talented hands and a joy to all. He spent the last 25 years touring beautiful country doing real estate inspections, building gifts for loved ones in his wood shop, cherishing his grandchildren, and being the fearless and reliable rock to all who loved and knew him best.

A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he enjoyed serving others. His humor and wit are irreplaceable. Gary is survived by his wife, Patsy L. Wells Christensen of North Logan; his children, G. Robert Christensen (Arlene Mecham) of North Logan, Stefanie Jane Christensen Thomson (Shawn Thomson) of North Logan, Lezlie Ann Christensen Branum (Craig Branum) of Layton, and James Lee Christensen of Ogden; sisters, Linda Behunin of West Valley City and JoAnn Moss of Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jon Lynn Christensen; parents, Ralph and Evah Christensen; siblings, Marilyn Adams and Jeffrey Christensen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at the LDS Elkridge Ward chapel (1650 East 2600 North, North Logan) at 12:30 p.m. A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, Feb.

15, 2019, at Allen Mortuary, (420 East 1800 North, North Logan) from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 11:00 am-12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the North Logan City Cemetery. The family expresses its appreciation to all those involved in Gary’s care and their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time.
