Gar Le Crumbacker , March 03, 1950 — March 03, 2019

Mr. Gary Lee Crumbacker, 69, of Mercersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly March 3, 2019 in his home. Born March 3, 1950 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Orville Junior Crumbacker and Emma Deloris (McKean) Crumbacker of Greencastle, PA. Gary graduated from Greencastle High School with the Class of 1968.

He was employed as a machinist at Landis Tool Company and later at Mack Truck, before going into business for himself as a contractor. He also did a lot of roofing in the area and retired in 2009. His mechanical abilities were put to use, not only on the job site, but he also enjoyed using those talents to work on vehicles while he was home.

He enjoyed NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Steelers and watching movies. Gary was a friendly guy who got along with just about anyone and he loved to laugh! In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children: two sons: Randy L. Crumbacker and his wife, Roberta of Fayetteville, PA; Daniel A. Crumbacker and his wife, Jennifer of Greencastle; and a daughter: Stephanie L. Roderick and her husband, Shawn of Buffalo, NY; two grandchildren: Dylan Crumbacker and Cameron Daley; three sisters: Brenda J. Thompson, Judy A. Woodword and Karen M. Talhelm, and one brother, Gregory W. Crumbacker and a number of nieces and nephews.
