Gaynell Hunter Thompson, 86, of Greenwood, widow of Charles “Colie” Thompson, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at her home. Born in Ninety Six, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Rendy Cogdill Hunter. Gaynell retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Thompson. Surviving are two children, Grady Thompson (Edith) of Greenwood and Linda Dunne (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Jean Hunter of Greenwood; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
