Geanita “G” Ann Brown, 66, passed away suddenly on April 11, 2018 in Crosby, Texas. Lovingly known as “G” to family and friends, she was born on December 17, 1951 to parents Jake and Marie Smith in Jacinto City, Texas. “G” married her love, Bobby Brown on August 19, 1970 in Channelview.

She was an educated and dedicated worker during her life. “G” worked for the District Clerk’s office for over 20 years, then with legislative services, and was the Human Res Director, all for Harris… Read More » County for 40 years. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother to “Nana’s angels”, and dear friend to many.

“G” made many friends that became family during her many years working for Harris County, where she also lived and raised her family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Galyon Smith; and sister, Sandie Bryant. Geanita is lovingly survived by her father, Jake Smith; her husband of 47 years, Bobby Brown; son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Melissa Brown; Nana’s angel’s, Makayla, Madison and Mia Brown; sisters, Darlene Brumfield, and Georgia Kaplon; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19th in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Immediately following the service, her friends at the Harris County Sherriff’s office will honorably escort her to Peebles Cemetery in Goodrich, Texas where a graveside service will begin at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
