It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gene Cleveland “Cotton” Gates, March 1, 2019. His death resulted from a lengthy illness and residency at Suburban Pavilion Nursing Home. Funeral services have been entrusted to the Gaines Funeral Home 5386 Lee Rd.

Maple Heights, Ohio. Services are scheduled for Saturday March 16, 2019 11AM Wake and 11:30AM Funeral services held at Zion Hill MBC 11115 Kinsman Rd. Rev.

Larry Harris, Officiating. Gene leaves his 11 year old son Gene II,His mother , Caroljean and a host of other relatives. His father, Grover Cleveland Holden preceded him in death.

Following the funeral service, Gene will be cremated and Ohio Vault Works Crematory and the family luncheon is scheduled at the Columbo Room Party Center 1988 Noble Rd. East Cleveland, Ohio 44112.
