Obituary for Gene T Zack Pawleys Island…. Gene T. Zack Gene Thomas Zack age 83, died Friday, April 20, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born in Shenadoah, Pennsylvania and raised in New Jersey, he was a son of the late Edward and Nellie Zack.

Retiring to Pawleys Island, SC in 1991, he was an avid golfer and a member of River Club. His greatest passion was teaching his grandchildren and all of their friends the game of golf. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Zack and brothers, Edward and Gerald Zack.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Cynthia Zack; children, Brian Zack of NJ, Laura Ivey (David) of Lexington, SC and Jennifer Zack of Raritan, NJ; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Jared, Devon and Tanner (Lane), Conner and Kyle (Zack), Megan and Zachary (Dorer) ;two step grandchildren, Sarah and D.J. (Ivey) and a brother, Paul Zack of ME. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Litchfield/Pawleys Island Chapel.
