Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Townsend Williams Mary Elizabeth Townsend Williams, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Milton and Ione Moore Townsend and the loving wife of 50 years to the late David Joiner Williams. In addition to raising her family, Mary retired from Sandstrom Nursing Home with 25 years of service and was very involved in church activities throughout the years.

Mary is survived by her 3 sons: David Joiner Williams, Jr. (Buddy), Wynne Townsend Williams and James Mark Williams; 1 daughter, Renetta Moore McClain, 12 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren in addition to several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Byrd officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Belin UMC cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Regency Hospice on the Garden City Connector for their loving care throughout Mary’s final days.
